#12 Whakakaiwhara Point
Whakakaiwhara Point (New Zealand) | November 2015
When we just arrived to New Zealand we went to Duder regional park where we walked to the tip of the Whakakaiwhara Peninsula. This is a coastal farm park with beautiful views of the Hauraki Gulf. The land is predominately gentle, undulating grassland. The coast around Duder is very popular for fishing and collecting shellfish. Jan Henk found a hair elastic and I found a broken fishing rod and lots of fishing lines. I completed the collection with shells and sea weeds from the rocky beach.
