Awaawaroa eco-village
Awaawaroa eco village is situated between the steep hills of Waiheke Island. 21 years ago there was nothing but grass, the land had been used as sheep pastures. Now it is a warm community with beautiful, nifty houses amidst lush orchards and native woodland, totally off the grid, so only renewable energy, composting toilets and their own road network. We love it here!
